What causes hard, inflammatory breakouts that repeatedly appear only around the jaw area?
The rest of my face is relatively clear, but painful, hard, purulent pimples keep popping up non-stop only around my chin and mouth, making it very distressing every time I look in the mirror. Usually, one or two would appear around my period and then subside quickly after a few days, but recently, they have been spreading and covering my chin regardless of the season.
Even if you try to squeeze it out with your hands, no pus comes out; it remains red and swollen, causing severe pain for several days, and eventually disappears, leaving behind an unsightly dark pigmented scar.
I have switched to toothpaste with very mild ingredients and am paying close attention to my cleansing routine, even double-cleansing every day, but this stubborn chin trouble shows absolutely no signs of stopping. After searching the internet extensively, I found that poor health or hormonal imbalances caused by extreme stress could be the biggest causes, and I am very curious to know if it really is an internal issue.
When I go to the dermatologist and get a painful anti-inflammatory injection, the relief is only temporary; a few days later, a new pimple pops up right next to it. Now I am so exhausted and depressed. I feel at a loss as to whether I should get a prescription for strong oral medication or undergo sebum-destroying laser treatment to completely resolve this chronic and persistent skin trouble around my chin.
I desperately need vivid, realistic, and invaluable advice from community members who suffered from symptoms very similar to mine for a long time before finally succeeding in a complete recovery.
