Should I consider the cost of acne treatment based on the total duration rather than the one-time price?

I ended up spending more money than I thought buying all sorts of cosmetics for my skin, haha. This time, instead of just switching products, I’m thinking of getting proper acne treatment, so I’m currently looking into the costs.

However, the more I look into it, the more I feel it is difficult to judge based on price alone. Since acne treatment isn't something that ends after just one or two sessions, I think I ultimately need to see how much it costs over several months.

When I have my first consultation, do you usually assess my current skin condition and explain roughly how many acne treatment sessions I expect to need? That way, I think I can get an overall budget.

Rather than paying for multiple sessions at once, I would like to try one or two sessions to see my skin's reaction before continuing. I am wondering if it is okay to start that way.

I am also wondering if the cost of acne treatment might vary depending on the treatment on that day. Since my skin condition isn't the same every time, I think some days might focus on soothing, while other days might require different care.

For me, it is more important to find a place I can visit consistently and where my skin condition is continuously monitored, rather than just looking for the cheapest option. However, since it could become a burden if the duration is longer than expected, I would like to know the cost plan before starting.

For those of you who have received acne treatment for several months or more, was the actual cost similar to the initial estimate?

I'm also curious if focusing on acne treatment was more satisfying than spending money constantly switching cosmetics.

When comparing costs, if there are any essential things to check besides the price, please share some tips from those with experience!
