How long do the effects of skin Botox last?

Lately, I feel like my face is sagging really badly due to aging, so I really hate looking in the mirror and I'm having an slump with my appearance.
While talking with my friends, I noticed they were recommending skin Botox a lot.
But I heard there is a set amount, and the prices vary widely depending on the region, so I'm hesitant.
I am also a bit scared that if I get injected with too much, I might end up looking like a goldfish, which is a common side effect.
I'm curious how long the effects of skin Botox last after just one session, and will I get severe bruising or something?
