Should acne redness be treated separately from acne treatment?

Recently, I've been reading articles about acne and I've been thinking a lot about acne, which I had forgotten about for a while.
But I'm curious. Acne is acne, but acne red marks aren't very pretty to look at either.
Perhaps acne scars are more unsightly than acne itself.

I'm wondering if treating acne will also alleviate or treat acne redness, or if acne redness requires some kind of treatment or procedure separate from acne treatment.
