What is the most effective way to reduce pores?

Although the pores are visible on the cheeks,

I put a lot on the nose area ~ Every time I look in the mirror, I see it up close

So, when I remove dead skin cells, I rub the nose area a little harder.

I used to put on a nose ring. I did that a few times.

I didn't feel much of a difference, so I just didn't do it again.

I thought that maybe it was because I didn't do it consistently.
