I used to get a lot of acne as a teenager, and even though I've gotten older and my sebum production has decreased and my skin has gotten drier, I still get acne. Now, even though my face feels dry and tight, I still get acne from sebum buildup inside my skin. How should I manage this? Until my 20s, my acne would fester on the surface of my skin, making it easy to pop. Exfoliating and removing sebum were effective. But now, I don't exfoliate as much and my sebum production has decreased, so the acne-fighting method of cleansing the surface doesn't seem to be as effective. Is this because my acne festered from within, not on the surface? I have dry skin, but I still get pimples that are hard to pop, so how should I manage my acne?
