Hello. This morning, I sat at my vanity for a long time, hesitating. Before, my skin seemed clear and transparent even with just a light dab of cushion, but at some point, I found myself spending a lot of time covering up dark spots. The pigmentation around my cheekbones and eyes in particular was starting to settle in. At first, I thought it was just fatigue and the darkening was gone, so I thought a good night's sleep would fix it. But as time went by, the once-blurred marks seemed to be getting darker, and it weighed heavily on my heart. After dropping the kids off at school, I looked in the mirror near a sunny window, and under the natural light, my skin's imperfections were even more apparent than usual. Looking back, I used to be quite lazy about applying sunscreen. I used to go bare-faced when I was out for a quick stroll or to the grocery store, and now I'm starting to regret that. Now, no matter how much expensive foundation I apply, it doesn't completely hide the dullness. In fact, as my makeup gets thicker, it seems to accentuate the fine wrinkles around my eyes, making me dread looking in the mirror before going out. Facial pigmentation is a constant concern. When I see people around me, their skin looks smooth and bright, as if they're all managing it, and sometimes I feel like I've been hit hard by the passage of time. I search for and buy supposedly good whitening cosmetics at home and diligently apply them every night, but I can't seem to erase the deep-seated marks. I'm taking vitamin C supplements and consciously drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated, but I'm worried that I'll ever regain my former, clear complexion. Every time I face my unfamiliar reflection in the mirror, the first thing I notice is the facial pigmentation. Knowing that these marks are hard to erase once they appear makes me feel even more frustrated. Are there any management methods or tips you'd recommend that have shown noticeable results for those struggling with similar issues? Even if it's just a small lifestyle change, I'd be grateful if you could share your valuable experiences. I'm curious to know how you're all wisely navigating this time.
