Last weekend, I attended a long-awaited high school classmate's wedding at a hotel. I had a great time taking pictures with friends I hadn't seen in a while under the bright lights. But when I looked at the pictures posted in our group chat later, I noticed how puffy I looked. In my twenties, I'd pull an all-nighter and feel refreshed the next day, but now, I often felt unfamiliar with myself when I looked in the mirror. The bright, sharp lights of the wedding hall especially revealed the wrinkles around my eyes and the sagging facial lines I'd been trying to hide, which was deeply frustrating. One of the friends I took pictures with was so good I wanted to ask her secret to her flawless skin. Seeing her vibrant face made me realize I really need to start taking better care of my skin. In the past, I'd often excuse myself from work by saying I was too tired and busy, just washing my face, applying a generous layer of moisturizing cream, and then going to bed. But now, I've realized how difficult it is to maintain my old skin condition with that kind of complacent attitude. People around me are already regularly visiting aesthetic salons or using expensive home care devices to manage their skin, and I'm starting to get impatient because I feel like I'm falling behind. I'm thinking about making the bold decision to invest some time and money, but do any of you have any skin care tips that you've actually tried and seen great results with? I'm not sure if professional treatment would be better, or if I should completely switch my basic cosmetics line to high-performance ones.
