Last weekend, I met up with some friends at a pretty cafe for the first time in ages, chatted, and took tons of pictures. But when I got home and flipped through the photos they sent me, I suddenly felt so unfamiliar that I stared at them for a long time. My complexion, which used to look clear even without retouching, now looked dull and lacked elasticity, even under the lights. The fine lines around my eyes when I smile seemed deeper than before, which was especially frustrating.
