How to remove dead skin cells after treatment

If dead skin cells appear after a procedure at a dermatologist's office, is it okay to just leave it alone?

My skin keeps getting irritated by dead skin cells, so I want to remove them, but I'm worried that I won't be able to remove them if I get the treatment and it irritates my skin too much.

I think it's always a concern.

In the end, I am gently exfoliating, but would it be better to hold off on exfoliating as much as possible after the procedure?
