My own basic skin care routine for sensitive skin during the changing seasons.
These days, when the temperature changes drastically during the seasonal transition, even my usual favorite cosmetics suddenly feel harsh and irritating, and I start to break out in small, flaky spots all over my face, which is incredibly stressful. I believe I moisturize thoroughly after washing my face, but the dryness doesn't go away. My skin feels rough and my makeup keeps flaking off, making it frustrating to look in the mirror every morning. Especially during these times, I try to minimize the cleansing step and use a mildly acidic cleanser to protect my skin barrier. Using a less irritating product does help temporarily reduce redness. However, I'm concerned that this isn't a fundamental solution. I'm curious to know how those with sensitive skin like mine formulate their basic skincare routines during this time. If you know of any products or methods that provide moisture while being gentle on the skin, please share them. I'd also love to hear advice from those with experience on effective barrier-strengthening dermatological procedures.
