Know-how for dry skin

For dry skin, rather than simply changing your cosmetics, it's helpful to take care of your daily environment. First, it's important to ensure your indoor air isn't too dry. During seasons when heating or air conditioning is on for extended periods, moisture in the air can easily decrease. Therefore, using a humidifier or placing wet towels to maintain indoor humidity at around 40-60% will help your skin feel more comfortable. Staying in front of a heater for extended periods can further dry out your skin, so it's best to avoid this if possible.

Drinking small amounts of water frequently throughout the day also helps to soothe your skin. When showering, use lukewarm water rather than hot water, and keep showering short to protect your skin. After showering, apply moisturizer before the water dries completely to lock in moisture.

Ventilate your home frequently and briefly to keep the air fresh, but be careful not to let cold air directly hit your skin. For clothing, choose soft cotton rather than rough fabrics to minimize skin irritation. By gradually implementing these small environmental changes, even dry skin can gradually regain its comfort.
