Cosmetic diet, I don't think applying too much is good.
In the past, I used to apply everything I thought was good: toner, essence, serum, lotion, cream, oil. But then, at some point, my skin started to feel like it couldn't breathe, and my makeup started to pile up. So, I boldly started a "cosmetics diet," drastically reducing the number of products I used.
Now, I only properly apply two products: one functional ampoule and one moisturizing cream tailored to my skin concerns. Instead, I've been patting them in longer to allow them to absorb, and my skin feels much more comfortable. What's your vanity like? Is it minimalist or maximalist?
There are other benefits to going on a cosmetics diet. Not only does it free up more space in your vanity, but most importantly, it significantly reduces your cosmetics spending! Saving that money and investing it in a really good essence or treating yourself to something delicious is even better for your mental health. It's a win-win situation, giving your skin a break and saving your wallet. I highly recommend it.
