Instead, focus on applying just one ingredient that suits your skin type (such as cica/panthenol for soothing, or hyaluronic acid for moisture). This will help with absorption and improve skin texture.
2. The power of 'mildly acidic' cleansing
I used alkaline cleansers for a long time because I liked the feeling of a clean, squeaky-cleansing cleanser, but it was destroying my skin barrier. After switching to a mildly acidic foam cleanser, my dryness and redness really improved. The key is to wash your face for no more than a minute!
