I used to be so out of the habit of drinking water that I barely managed to drink one or two glasses a day. But recently, my skin became so rough that I decided to drink two liters of water a day. For the first few days, I was uncomfortable because I had to go to the bathroom so often, but after about two weeks, I noticed a remarkable change. First of all, my lips were less chapped, and my skin tone seemed much clearer overall, perhaps because it was more hydrated. This experience really made me realize that basic habits of replenishing moisture within the body are more important than applying expensive cosmetics.

At first, drinking plain water was too much of a hassle, so I substituted lemon slices or barley tea. But I've discovered that drinking plain water is the most digestible and feels like it's directly hydrating my skin. Before, no matter how many layers of moisturizer I applied, my skin would feel parched by the afternoon. Now, even with a light foundation, I can wear it without feeling dry. It's also helping me lose weight and improving my complexion, so I plan to maintain this habit for the rest of my life.
