Let's share some home heel care tips.

Come winter, many of you find yourself with calluses on your heels that make socks snag and blankets feel scratchy. I used to be like that, but after years of trial and error, I've developed my own unique winter heel care know-how. Today, I'll share with you the methods I've found to be effective.

The first tip is to be careful about timing, not just avoiding the pressure. The key is to exfoliate your feet before they're completely dry after a shower, when they're still slightly damp. This is when the dead skin cells are most soft, so you don't need to scrub too hard. I only use a foot file or a soft exfoliating pad once a week, and I never scrub until they bleed. Overdoing it actually makes the dead skin cells thicker.

Second, I make it a habit to layer my moisturizers. After exfoliating, I immediately apply a generous layer of foot cream containing urea or shea butter, then cover it with a very thin layer of Vaseline. Then, I put on cotton socks to sleep, and my feet feel noticeably different the next morning. I call this a "foot mask," and it's a must-have in the winter.

Lastly, and most importantly, daily care is key. Just like you apply hand cream every night after washing, applying a little cream to your heels can significantly reduce the buildup of dead skin cells. The key is to focus on consistent care, not trying to solve everything all at once! Even in winter, you can achieve soft, crack-free heels. 👣✨
