Why seasonal skin condition should be managed with data, not intuition.
To accurately identify the cause of my skin's seasonal changes, the only solution is to quantify and record my daily humidity and product combinations. The sun is so glaring right now that I'm just walking outside, and the UV rays and dry air hitting my skin are causing my moisture levels to drop in real time, so I'm eager to analyze them. In fact, I record the levels on my cheeks and forehead with a moisture meter every morning right after washing my face, and in the evening, I organize the products I used that day into an Excel spreadsheet. Analyzing my data from the past week, I've noticed a pattern where every time the temperature drops by 1 degree, my skin's oil production slightly decreases, exacerbating my skin's tightness. This raises a question: what variables do you consider most important when recording these environmental changes? Do you simply take photos, or do you also consider indoor and outdoor humidity differences and take note of them? Also, do you have any recommendations for home devices that can measure oil and moisture balance more precisely? I'm concerned about the limited sample size I'm running into while trying to organize my records. I'd like to know what data others use to adjust their skincare routines as the seasons change. Is there anyone who, like me, can draw a diagram showing how they react to certain ingredients?
