As the air became suddenly colder, I suddenly looked in the mirror and was surprised at how clear the line drawn on my neck was.
The chilly morning air has me rushing to close the windows. This time of year, I usually focus solely on my face because of the dryness, but this morning, as I was adjusting my clothes in front of the mirror, I suddenly stopped myself when I looked at my neck. While not as deep as before, the fine lines seemed much more pronounced, and I was heartbroken. I thought I was still okay in my 20s, but this moment truly demonstrated the saying that the sooner you start taking care of your skin, the better. So, starting today, I'm going to completely revamp my home care routine. Honestly, I've been so focused on calming my facial breakouts that I've just been slathering on whatever cream I have left on my neck. But the skin on my neck is just as thin and sensitive as my face. Rather than blindly slathering on a highly nourishing cream, I think it's important to gently moisturize just as I would my face. I'm going to build a habit by carefully layering the soothing line ampoule I usually use on sensitive areas all the way to my neck, and doing some light stretching to promote circulation. I'm curious about how you all manage your neck care, and whether you use the same products you use on your face. This morning, I'm starting to seriously consider taking care of my neck, and I'm starting to worry a lot.
