The importance of recording skin dryness, leaving a hasty note because the battery is at 1%.

My phone battery is at 1% right now, so the screen is starting to darken. I'm typing this quickly because I feel like I won't be able to sleep if I don't post this. We've all been anxious about our phones dying on the way home from work, right? I'm in that exact situation right now. My skin has been in terrible condition lately, so I've been keeping a daily journal. Comparing it to yesterday and today, I realized there's a clear answer. To be honest, slapping on expensive, nourishing creams just because my skin feels dry is a really bad idea. I was stressed out about superficial oiliness for a while, but looking back at my journal, I realized the problem was that I wasn't addressing the underlying thirst. I focused solely on replenishing moisture from within, and this morning, my skin feels less tight and my complexion is clearer. I've come to realize that objectively examining what my skin needs is far more effective than a grand routine. Even at this very moment, my heart is racing, wondering when my battery will die. But to cut to the chase: don't follow other people's trends. Start by recording your own skin. Only by accumulating data on whether your skin is extremely dry or oily can you make a more informed decision. Oh, I think my phone is finally going to die. I'll be back tomorrow to record my skin's changes, so I hope you all have a hydrated night.
