Today's Skin Check - The Importance of Recording
It's getting pretty late at night. It's almost 9:50, and around this time, I find myself longing to escape to a warmer place, so I lie in bed and spend a long time looking at plane tickets. It's the cold winter, and the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors is so large that my face feels particularly puffy and lacks elasticity, which is frustrating. I don't think I used to be this sensitive, but now that I'm in my 30s, I can definitely see how my skin reacts quickly to my daily conditions.
So these days, even though it's a hassle, I'm trying to keep a short note of my skin condition every night. I just write down which ampoule helped my skin feel less tight, or which pack was effective for soothing my skin on days like today when I've been exposed to a lot of cold wind. If I don't accumulate data like this, I end up forgetting which treatment method improved my skin the most, and I end up going through the same trial and error cycle again. I'm actually quite lazy, so it's not easy for me to do this consistently, but I force myself to write it down, imagining the day I'll be able to take pictures of my smooth face while traveling.
Before you go to bed tonight, why not write down at least one sentence about how your skin looked that day and what it needs? Those notes will serve as a really solid guideline later on.
