My face gets really chapped every winter... What do you do for your basic routine at home?
How do you all manage your basic winter routine at home? I was sipping a warm latte at a cafe and taking a moment to relax. Perhaps it's the indoor heater that's making my face feel tighter than usual, and I'm suddenly starting to worry. Honestly, I find it too much of a hassle to be thorough, so I often just want to slather on a cream and go to bed. But even if I leave it on for a few days, I can see dead skin cells forming and my skin texture becoming dull, so I can't help it. These days, I barely manage to keep up by layering my skincare routine: immediately after washing my face, I spray a generous amount of moisturizing mist in the bathroom, and then apply two layers of ampoule. In winter, I find that layering a slightly viscous, nourishing product over a light hydrating ampoule really helps combat dryness. Sometimes, when I have extra time, I even throw in a modeling mask, despite the hassle. I know it's incredibly effective for strengthening the skin barrier and soothing it, but I can't seem to get around to it. And before bed, I usually mix just one drop of facial oil with my moisturizing cream and cover my entire face with it. Do you have any special home care tips or secrets that you think are really effective? As the weather gets colder, I worry that if I neglect my basic skincare routine even just a little, my makeup will look flaky. I know that taking care of my skin at home is the most cost-effective way to take care of my skin, even if it's busy and bothersome, but if you could share what specific products you use, it would be really helpful!
