Even in the dry winter, sebum keeps building up on my nose and chin. So, when I feel a lot of sebum buildup, I soften it with a sebum softener and then exfoliate it with a peeling agent. I use MediPeel Extra Super 9 Plus for the sebum softener and Labelle for the peeling agent. In my case, using the sebum softener on my dry face didn't work as well as I'd hoped. So, I first opened my pores with a steamed towel, then soaked a cotton pad with the sebum softener and placed it on my nose and chin. I waited for the sebum to build up. I added more sebum softener to keep the cotton pad from drying out, continuing to soften it. I usually leave it on for about 15 minutes, but I tend to leave it on longer if I feel the sebum has not built up enough. However, I found that sebum softeners can be irritating to my skin. Don't leave it on too long, and if you feel the sebum building up, slowly exfoliate it with a peeling agent. This will keep your nose and chin clean for a while. The problem is that it's so annoying lol. When I'm lazy, I sometimes use an exfoliator right after showering without using a sebum softener. It doesn't feel as refreshing as when I use a sebum softener, but since it doesn't irritate my skin, using an exfoliator right after showering is actually less irritating to my skin. Anyway, this is how I manage sebum at home. I'm curious to know how other people manage their sebum. If you know any better tips, please share them in the comments!
