날이 너무 춥다고 뜨거운물로 세안을 하면 피부에는 안좋더라고요
The heater wind makes your face red and your skin rough... How do you all take care of yourself in the winter?
I just got home, and I'm so upset after looking in the mirror, so I'm writing this... These days, my commute home is a real struggle. It's freezing outside, so my ears feel like they're going to fall off, but the subway and bus heaters are blasting so hard I feel like my face is going to explode. I'm already shy and anxious, so when my face turns red like a carrot, I feel like people are staring at me, so I cringe even more.
An even bigger problem is my skin texture. My face constantly heats up, so the moisture evaporates quickly, and my makeup starts to flake and turn white, leaving me looking really messy. When I look in the mirror, I see the tiny bumps on my nose and chin, and it's so frustrating. My skin is so sensitive that I'm afraid of doing things like scrubbing, thinking it might irritate it too much. I worry every night that I might accidentally touch something and make my face look worse.
So these days, I'm trying to change even the smallest of my habits. When I wash my face, I pay a little more attention to the water temperature than usual, keeping it lukewarm. Afterward, instead of rubbing my face with a towel, I just gently pat it dry. I'm trying to avoid touching my face as much as possible, but I still can't seem to get rid of that visible dullness.
They say that in these cases, it's better to moisturize your skin thoroughly rather than overexfoliate and exfoliate, but I honestly don't know the answer, and it's so frustrating. Are there any of you who struggle with the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors on cold winter days like I do? If you have any small tips of your own for smoothing out sensitive skin without irritation, please share them. Because of this rough skin texture, I'm already worried about putting on makeup for work tomorrow morning...
