It's already past 11 o'clock. Why am I so tired today? I smelled bungeoppang (fish-shaped bread) on the street on my way home from work, and I almost cried because I had no cash in my wallet. These days, everyone uses cards, so this is such a shame. Anyway, I cut my bangs to change my mood, and now they're a total mess, I'm embarrassed to look in the mirror... It really does look like a choppy bang, but I guess my face can't keep up. Anyway, enough rambling. Isn't the weather really dry these days? My skin has been slowly turning over since the fall season, and now that winter is in full swing, it's a real emergency. Until recently, I just chalked it up to my age, but I couldn't help it, so I started keeping a nightly journal of my skin condition. At first, I just wrote short notes on my phone because I was lazy, but after about a month, it felt like a map of my skin was forming. Now that I'm keeping a journal, I can clearly see it. Some days, the wind makes my skin especially red, and on other days, the indoor heater makes my skin extremely dry. Having this data allows me to immediately provide the care I need each day. Now that I'm in my 40s, my skin isn't as resilient as it used to be, but keeping a detailed record of my skin like this makes it much easier to manage. Starting tonight, try recording even the smallest symptoms you experience after washing your face. You'll see more changes than you think! It's a bit tedious, but I highly recommend it.
