Even zippers are a problem due to static electricity, an unwelcome guest in winter... Let's share a routine to solve dryness!
I just got home and was zipping up my down jacket when my hair got chewed up, and I was struggling for a while. It's winter, so static electricity is bad, and my hair is already frizzy, but the zipper was bothering me, and I almost cried. I finally managed to get it out, but seeing all the hair snapping off was heartbreaking. As the weather gets colder, I'm starting to notice that my skin and hair aren't what they used to be, perhaps because of the heater. I used to be able to just apply it roughly, but these days, if I don't do a thorough job every night, it shows the next day. So, even though it's a hassle, I'm trying to stick to my personal skincare routine before bed. After washing my face, I mix a drop or two of facial oil in my slightly damp hair and apply it as a base. On particularly dry days, I apply a thick layer of a moisture pack and use it as a sleeping mask. To prevent the same problem, I apply hair oil once while my hair is still wet and once more after my hair is dry, focusing on the ends. It definitely reduces static electricity. It's cold outside and so dry inside, making it a tricky season to manage. Even minor stressors like today can make me feel even more exhausted. Do you have any of your own tips for dealing with dryness or static electricity during this winter? My routine may not be the only one, but I hope you all stay healthy in the cold weather and have a good night!
