How do you all manage your evening routine when your skin feels like it's going to tear under the heater?
How's everyone's face feeling right now? I washed and lay down, but maybe it's because of the heat from the heater at work all day today. My cheeks are so irritated and dry that I can't sleep. No matter how much I spray, it only lasts for a moment, and my skin feels like it's cracking from the inside out. This is the kind of night where I truly feel the limitations of home care.
These days, as soon as I get home from work, I cleanse my skin as gently as possible, then apply a generous amount of a toning ampoule. I especially layer on a nourishing, fast-absorbing ampoule like the Meladuse Ampoule, and it definitely feels less tight than just applying cream. Still, the combination of cold air and indoor heating is hard to beat. What emergency treatment do you use on days like these when your skin is particularly sensitive and dry?
I'm having a hard time deciding whether to use a moisture pack every day or whether my skin is becoming more sensitive. Should I apply a thin layer of night cream over the ampoule, or should I just use a sleeping pack? Now that I'm in my late 20s, I'm especially concerned about the fact that my skin barrier, once broken, takes longer to recover. If you have any solid home care routines or secret recipes for rebalancing your skin during the winter, please share them with me. Everyone, thank you for your hard work today.
