My winter skin is cracking and chapped. This is my home care routine these days.
Oh my, I finally finished preparing dinner and can finally catch my breath! I made some spicy braised short ribs for dinner tonight, and it smells so good... I just want to grab a bite before the family comes over. It's so cold outside, and I've been turning the heater on high all day, so my skin feels like it's cracking like paper. Even using a humidifier has its limits, so I've been devising a completely new home care routine. First, right after washing my face, while it's still damp, I spray it with oil mist right in the bathroom! Then, I layer a moisturizing ampoule three times, and I apply it generously. Finally, I apply a rubber mask or modeling pack. I can definitely feel the tightness disappearing from my skin thanks to all the effort I put into my home care. I used to only think about going to expensive aesthetician's for treatments, but I find that the diligent home care I do every night is actually much more beneficial for my skin's basic health. As I get older, I'm realizing more and more that winter care is a matter of survival... Do you have your own secret weapon to combat this terrible dryness? If you have any recommendations, please share them with us! Now, I'm going to run to the kitchen because I can't stand the smell of braised short ribs. Enjoy your delicious dinner and have a restful night!
