My winter home care routine and diet shakes, pulled out in the middle of the night...
It's 12:31 now... The room is so dry from the heater, so I just filled up the humidifier with water. Listening to the sound of the water, I look in the mirror, and the end-of-year snacks I've been eating like bungeoppang and tangerines are showing up on my face and body. My skin is dull and my lines look sagging, so I quickly re-evaluated my home care routine in the dead of night.
Because it's winter, applying only what's on the surface has its limits. So, what I'm most focused on these days is inner beauty, emptying my insides. To lighten my heavy body, I pulled out a can of diet shake again. If I drink it instead of dinner, my face is noticeably less puffy when I wake up the next morning, and my skin feels clearer.
For someone like me who is prone to laziness, there's nothing more convenient than a diet shake to get my nutrition in without skipping meals... It's especially effective when I mix it into my diet every time I hit a plateau. I was a little hungry tonight, but I held back from a snack and instead made a cup of warm tea and packed a diet shake for tomorrow.
Writing this with the humidifier on full blast and a sheet mask on, I finally feel like I'm starting to take care of myself. Fighting dryness is important in the winter, but I also think it's essential to have a routine that lightly cleanses our bodies and fills them with good things. It's late at night, so I hope you all get a good night's sleep and have a more energetic day tomorrow.
