Skin barrier care product. I feel uneasy without this these days.
The weather has been unpredictable lately, and perhaps because of the heating, my skin has become more sensitive. I used to think I was fine as long as I didn't have any breakouts, but these days, I'm realizing the importance of maintaining a healthy skin barrier.
When your skin gets thinner, even the slightest irritation can cause irritation and makeup to flake off. So, rather than slathering on new products, I've changed my routine to focus on minimally irritating, basic skin barrier care products.
Certainly, my skin barrier has stabilized, so I've noticed less redness and less tightness after washing my face in the morning. Makeup also seems to go on better. Rather than looking for dramatic changes in a short period of time, I think the key is to consistently improve your skin condition from the ground up.
For those who feel that their skin has become sensitive, I recommend starting with the barrier rather than focusing on flashy functional products.
