Avoid hot water when washing your face and use a mild, slightly acidic cleanser. After washing, apply moisturizer before your face dries completely to prevent moisture loss. Gently pat toner in rather than wiping it off, and finish with a cream containing ceramides, panthenol, and hyaluronic acid. Indoor heating can also dry out the air, so using a humidifier and drinking plenty of water are also important. If your skin feels rough, moisturizing naturally rather than scrubbing is more effective in reducing skin irritation.
