How do you all do home care when your skin is damaged?
How's everyone's skin these days? My ambitious skincare routine from a few days ago didn't work out, and my skin has completely flipped over. I can't sleep at night... It's past midnight, and all I can do is sigh when I look in the mirror. It's the middle of winter, and the heaters are incredibly dry, and my skin barrier feels like it's broken down, making it sting and itch. I've been sticking to my home care routine, but I got overly ambitious and my skin is a complete mess. I've stopped using anything I was using and am only using a gentle hydrating ampoule and regenerating cream, but I'm not sure if this is working. Do you have any home care methods that have proven effective when your skin is severely affected? I'm debating whether it would be better to skip my usual routine and just use a pack, or whether I should apply some ointment. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to get back on track and keep a daily record of my home care routine, so I can calmly recover. If you have any recommendations for soothing products or skin care routines, please leave a comment... I'm leaving this question with a puffy face at this early hour. We've all had this experience at least once. Please save me.
