I was wondering if diet shakes would be okay for my winter diet!

It's freezing outside, but the heater inside is so dry. I just had a warm cup of morning coffee and am finally coming to my senses, but when I look in the mirror, I'm shocked to see all the year-end snacks I've been snacking on have all turned into weight. So, I'm thinking about trying a diet shake to start controlling my diet. Do you have any recommendations? I usually drink diet shakes in one gulp, but with the temperature dropping below freezing like this, I'm a little apprehensive about drinking something cold first thing in the morning. Also, my skin is so dry that I'm prone to static electricity. I wonder if a nutritious diet shake might help me maintain a healthy routine! I'd like to look for a diet shake with a high protein content that won't lower my basal metabolic rate. Do any of you mix it with warm soy milk? If you know of a diet shake that's delicious enough to drink every day, resisting the temptation of winter snacks like bungeoppang (fish-shaped bread) or tangerines, please share. There are so many different options, it's hard to decide!
