A systematic home care routine to address dry skin in winter
The coat I ordered online just arrived, but the fit is a bit too loose for my liking, so I ended up having to return it... I'm a little disappointed because I bought it based solely on the model's fit and ended up wasting shipping money. Still, I'm worried that my skin will be even more damaged if I'm stressed out in this dry winter weather, so I'm going to analyze the effectiveness of my current home care routine. First, the heaters in winter cause moisture to evaporate from the skin's surface much faster than usual, making conventional moisturizing methods ineffective. Therefore, the first principle of my home care routine is to gradually build up the skin barrier components, panthenol and ceramides. I believe this is a logical approach to artificially replenishing the lipid layer to prevent moisture loss. The second most important element of my home care routine is product formulation. As of 8:49 PM, I'm applying a thin ampoule several times immediately after washing my face to increase absorption, and I finish with a balm-like cream containing occlusive moisturizing ingredients to physically block moisture loss. Rather than simply applying quality products, I believe a home care routine that creates an environment where skin can retain moisture is the most reasonable and effective. Rather than blindly adding products, I encourage you to objectively assess your skin condition and determine your winter care regimen.
