I was on the verge of collapse at the beginning of the year, but I'm barely holding on with diet shakes...

It's well past 10 PM, and the most dangerous thing at this hour is thinking about a late-night snack... As I peel a few tangerines under the warm blanket, my New Year's diet resolution almost went to Andromeda. Maybe it's because of the heater, but my lips are dry and I'm hungry. I almost poured water on my ramen in the kitchen earlier, but I barely managed to calm myself down with a diet shake and sit down. Actually, I'm a bit picky about food, so I've tried a lot of different brands, but thankfully, the diet shake I'm drinking now has less of the fishy smell that's characteristic of protein, so it's somewhat tolerable. But no matter how delicious it is, drinking a diet shake every night sometimes gets a little tiresome, and I'm not sure if it'd be better to mix it with water or something like Almond Breeze. Now that I'm in my 30s, I can't do the starvation diets I used to because I lack the energy. I have to eat like this, even if it means replacing one meal. It makes me a little sad... How do you all suppress your explosive appetites on cold winter nights? If you have any tips or recommended combinations to eat without getting sick of them, please let me know. I'm not the only one whose willpower wavers like this every night, right? It's below freezing outside, and going to the gym is too much of a hassle, so I just lie in bed worrying.
