My practical home care routine to combat winter static electricity and dry skin.
The weather is really brutal today. I just got home from work at 7:50 PM, and the wind was so strong that I was zipping up my down jacket all the way, and the static electricity got my hair caught in the zipper. I struggled for a while, finally tearing out a few strands before I could get it free. My hair and skin were so dry, I felt dizzy. To survive this extreme dryness, I desperately need my own home care routine. In fact, in winter, the indoor heaters can make my skin practically dry. So, as soon as I get home, I just wash my face as quickly as possible and focus on hydrating. My regular home care routine is to apply a sheet mask and then two layers of a moisturizing ampoule. Just by following this routine, I can see a noticeable difference in my skin texture the next day. While it's nice to go to an expensive dermatologist, it's ultimately about how much care you take at home. Even now, I'm peeling a tangerine and putting on a face pack, but if I skip this home care routine, even though it's annoying, my makeup looks all messed up the next day, and I end up feeling even more tired. Instead of getting carried away with the holiday spirit and rushing to bed after a quick cleanse, invest just 15 minutes before bed. It doesn't have to be anything grand, but I think consistency is the most sobering answer. I hope you all get through these dry winter nights safely.
