Winter home care habits that have made me rethink them.
The air is unusually chilly this morning. Sitting in my office, with the heater blasting in sub-zero temperatures, a colleague next to me complimented my skin, saying it looked clearer. That seemingly insignificant remark gave me a huge boost in self-esteem, and I felt a sense of pride, knowing my hard work was paying off.
Lately, I've been really worried about my dull skin and flaky, dead skin cells every time I look in the mirror. I'm busy and it's too much of a hassle to visit a beauty salon every time, so I've started focusing on home care and overhauling my overall lifestyle. The two things I'm most concerned about these days are hydration and indoor humidity control. No matter how expensive the cream, if the room is dry under the heater, all the moisture will quickly evaporate.
So, I'm working on changing small habits, starting with keeping the humidifier on and drinking lukewarm water frequently. I've been thinking that these basic lifestyle habits, which accumulate to form the foundation of my skin, are ultimately an extension of important home care. It's easy to become lazy in the winter, both physically and mentally, but these days, I find myself taking the time to carefully care for myself morning and evening quite precious.
Even without any special techniques, simply applying a sheet mask every night and calmly wrapping up the day can visibly improve your condition. Ultimately, I realize the truth that consistency is the key every morning when I look in the mirror. Do you have your own home care routine? It may not be grand, but quietly maintaining it at your own pace seems to be the greatest strength in overcoming this dry season.
