Lately, my skin has become increasingly dry, which has been a major concern. After washing my face, my face feels tight, and even after a short while, I notice white patches around my cheeks and mouth, which is really bothering me. Even when I put on makeup, it still looks patchy, and even products that I thought were moisturizing quickly dry out by the afternoon, which is frustrating. My skin looks shiny on the outside, but my skin feels parched on the inside, so I'm worried that this might be due to internal dryness.
It seems to get worse on days when I don't drink enough water, so I've been thinking about my lifestyle. When I don't get enough sleep, my skin seems to look more dull, so I keep looking in the mirror and I feel more sensitive to even the smallest dead skin cells. Even if I apply a lot of moisturizer, it only helps for a short time, and after a while, the tightness comes back, which is frustrating.
I'm starting to think I need to examine each and every one of them to see if it's due to the environment, like indoor heating or air conditioning, or if my current basic skincare products aren't working for me. Dryness, which I didn't really care about before, is now dwindling my confidence, which is frustrating. Today, I'm reminded to stop worrying and focus on hydration, getting enough rest, and gradually finding a moisturizing routine that works for me.
