How can I manage pores that can't be hidden even with makeup?
Lately, I've been dreading looking in the mirror. ㅠ ㅠI don't know if it's because of the weather or because I've really gotten older, but I've started noticing my pores, which weren't visible before, are getting longer and longer. It's the so-called "vertical pore" phenomenon, but it's not just enlarged pores; it feels like my entire face is losing elasticity and sagging. Every time I look in the mirror, I sigh. ㅠ ㅠ
It's not that I don't take care of myself. I regularly receive elasticity treatments like Inmode and Shurink, which are said to be effective for lifting, and I also consistently use toning treatments to improve my skin tone. While Inmode and Shurink certainly help with my jawline and overall facial contours, they don't really tighten my skin's texture or sagging pores. Now that I'm in my 40s, my skin isn't as firm as it used to be, and it feels dry and dull. Makeup doesn't go on well, and it still feels flaky. ㅜㅠ
So, I'm seriously considering adding a treatment that focuses on tightening pores this time. People around me say Fraxel is a great option, but I'm worried it might be too irritating. Jewelry toning is supposed to improve skin texture, but having to go to the hospital every week just doesn't seem feasible given my busy schedule.
Still, I'm considering it the most.
Is there anyone out there who, like me, has simultaneously addressed both vertical pores and loss of elasticity? Besides Fraxel or jewelry toning, if you know of any effective treatments or routines that restore firmness to skin in your 40s without putting too much strain on it, please share them with us.
