After the holidays, I was stressed out from work, and I broke out in a pustular pimple around my chin. I don't usually get breakouts, but this time it was especially red and painful. I had to go to work, and I was freaking out. At first, I tried applying some medication to calm it down, but it just wouldn't go away, so I ended up going to the dermatologist. The doctor immediately recommended anti-inflammatory injections. After getting them, the swelling and pain went down really quickly. The morning after the injection, the redness and swelling were noticeably reduced, and I was amazed at the results. Of course, it'll take a few days for it to completely go away, but I don't think it'll spread like before when I touch it. Anti-inflammatory injections aren't the answer, but they seem to be a really effective way to treat acne that suddenly appears.

    긴 명절 연휴가 끝나고 바로 일상으로 복귀하며 겪으시는 출근 스트레스가 피부로 고스란히 나타난 것 같아 읽는 저도 마음이 무척 무겁습니다. 특히 턱 주변에 유난히 붉고 아프게 올라오는 화농성 여드름은 거울을 볼 때마다 신경이 쓰여 업무 집중도 힘들게 만들곤 하지요. 

무엇보다 평소에는 트러블이 잦지 않으셨는데 이번에 갑작스럽게 심해지셨다니 당혹스러움이 더 크셨을 텐데, 그래도 손으로 건드리지 않고 곧장 피부과를 찾아가 염증주사를 맞으신 것은 정말 현명한 결정이었습니다. 저 역시 주사 처방으로 통증과 붓기가 눈에 띄게 완화되었던 경험이 있어 그 안도감이 얼마나 크실지 깊이 공감이 갑니다. 

주사 맞은 부위가 빠르게 진정되어 다행이며, 남은 붉은 자국들도 겨울철 건조한 날씨에 자극받지 않고 조속히 회복되기를 진심으로 바랍니다. 당분간은 고생한 본인을 위해 따뜻한 차 한 잔과 함께 충분한 휴식을 취하시며 피부와 마음의 평온을 되찾으셨으면 좋겠습니다. 오늘 하루도 고생 많으셨습니다.
