The weather is dry these days, and the wind is blowing hard. The fine dust is so bad that my skin feels dry on the outside, but it's burning and itchy on the inside. My skincare routine in these situations is to first reduce the burning sensation. There are creams and packs to help reduce burning, but what I've seen immediate results from is applying a generous amount of aloe gel from the fridge to my skin and leaving it on for a while. I used to keep it in the freezer, but I learned that too cold can actually increase the temperature, so I keep it in the fridge and apply a thick layer to my face. Then, I soak a sheet mask in water, place it on my face, and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, I wipe off the aloe with the sheet mask, finish with a toner pad, and immediately apply moisturizer. This way, I can take care of both dry skin and burning sensation all in one! Aloe gel is incredibly versatile when stored in the fridge, so I highly recommend keeping one in your fridge :)
