Even though I tried various products at home, there were many times when my skin didn't improve right away. So, at some point, I decided to go back to basics rather than adding more cosmetics, and created my own home care routine. It's nothing fancy, just two things: drinking plenty of water and using hydrating masks regularly. Just by sticking to these two things, I noticed a noticeable difference in my skin condition.
First, I'm trying to consciously drink water throughout the day. I start with a glass of lukewarm water as soon as I wake up, then fill a tumbler with water and sip it in small portions throughout the morning and afternoon. I used to only drink when I was thirsty, but now I drink more frequently, feeling it's good for my skin. Even after just a few days of consistent practice, my face doesn't look as puffy as it used to, and I notice less tightness in my stomach.
If you've filled your skin with water, complement the exterior with a hydrating mask. Especially on days when your skin is particularly dry or your makeup is flaky, apply the mask immediately after washing your face in the evening, toning it, and then applying it. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then remove it and gently pat any remaining essence into your skin. Your skin will instantly become hydrated. Even if you follow this routine just two or three times a week, you'll notice your skin is noticeably smoother and has a slightly radiant glow the next morning.
