Sharing my routine for managing skin condition during the changing seasons to survive a dry classroom all day long lol
I hope everyone is wrapping up their Friday well. Due to the nature of my job, I spend all day in a classroom filled with the cheerful voices of children, so I have to talk a lot, and the environment is really dry. Especially when the weather is so unpredictable like it has been lately, I can feel my skin reacting first and cracking up. So today, I thought I’d ramble on a bit about the skin care routine I’ve figured out on my own for the changing seasons. It’s nothing fancy, but I thought it might be helpful to those of you in similar situations.
First off, the core of my skincare routine for the changing seasons is definitely slathering on mist and touching up my moisturizer right after lunch. No matter how many layers of moisturizer I apply in the morning before heading to work, my base makeup ends up caking by lunchtime because I work with the heater on. So, after eating lunch and brushing my teeth, I always sit down at my desk, lightly wipe just my cheeks with a cooling pad, and apply another layer of ampoule. It might seem like a small thing, but it is the number one contributor to my seasonal skincare routine, keeping my skin from feeling tight all afternoon.
And even though I'm completely drained of energy after work and don't want to do anything, I make sure to roll the oil really thoroughly when cleansing. I feel uneasy worrying that things like chalk dust might be stuck in my pores, haha. After that, I always apply a generous amount of thick regenerating cream like a sleeping mask before going to bed. Honestly, I don't have the time or the hassle to go to an aesthetic clinic every time, so I just manage my skin like this at home. I'm curious to know what your personal skin condition management routines are for the changing seasons, members. If there are any of you out there whose skin is dry due to the environment like mine, please let me know how you all manage to get through it!
