A sad Tuesday when a massive pimple exploded on my chin due to PMS. A record of my jawline.
When the magical day that comes once a month approaches, my skin invariably proves the providence of Mother Nature first.
I usually don't get skin trouble, but painful pimples always pop up on my chin and around my mouth exactly a week before my period starts.
This morning, when I touched my face to wash it, I felt a heavy pain at the tip of my chin. When I looked in the mirror, I saw two huge, pus-filled pimples.
I'm sure you all agree that these hard pimples that just swell up and turn red are the most troublesome.
I knew that if I forcibly touched it, it would only leave a dark scar, so I resolved not to touch it at all today and started soothing care.
While getting ready for work, I generously applied Etude Soonjung Cica Balm to a cotton swab and put it on the pimple-affected area thickly, to the point where it looked white.
And I applied a round blemish patch on top to block external dust and create an impenetrable defense to prevent cosmetics from touching it.
Fortunately, since I put on the patch, it hurts less when it rubs against the mask, and I feel a bit more at ease knowing I don't have to force myself to cover it up with concealer.
I think I need to stop by Olive Young on my way home from work today to stock up on some more tea tree oil or spot patches.
In the evening, I plan to take a warm shower, drink a glass of tart cherry juice which is said to be good for hormone balance, and get some good rest.
I think all women can relate to this, but it is so upsetting that I really can't control my skin when it breaks out due to hormones.
My biggest goal for this week is to get along with these unwelcome pimples all week long and get them to subside safely without leaving any scars.
