When your oil-water balance is a mess, 'layering moisture' is definitely the best method.

The weather has been really unpredictable lately. It's cold in the mornings and scorching hot during the day, so my skin is out of its mind; it ends up in the worst state, shiny on the surface but tight underneath. During this transitional season, it is essential to lighten your skincare routine. I boldly skipped the heavy nourishing cream I used to use and switched to a routine of applying a very watery hydrating ampoule or essence in thin layers about three times instead. I apply it once, pat it in to ensure complete absorption, and then apply it again. By layering moisture like this, my skin feels plump from within without any heavy oiliness. Finally, I finish by simply applying a light gel-type hydrating cream to create a protective coating so the moisture doesn't evaporate. Since changing my routine like this, the oiliness that appears in the afternoon has significantly decreased, and my makeup longevity has also improved. I highly recommend this routine for the changing seasons!
