The aftermath of binge-watching Netflix until dawn yesterday... I look like a drowned ashen.
Yesterday, I was so excited for the weekend that I binge-watched dramas until 3 AM, and as a result, my skin condition hit absolute rock bottom this morning. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror and saw a face ashen. This is how scary lack of sleep is, everyone. My skin had absolutely no color, and perhaps because the internal dryness worsened overnight, white flakes of dead skin were forming around the sides of my nose and between my eyebrows. I felt like I absolutely couldn't go out like this, so as a quick fix, I soaked a cotton pad with toner and applied it to my cheeks and forehead for about 10 minutes as an emergency toner pack. Fortunately, the flaking subsided a bit, but my dull complexion isn't returning to normal easily. When I get back from my appointment today, I'm definitely going to wash up early, put on a brightening mask, and fall asleep like I've passed out. I realized the hard way today that sleep accounts for 80% of skincare.
