A must-have for days after running in the cold wind! Skincare routine
Even though the weather has turned a bit chilly, I enjoy running outdoors every evening, so I walk around with the cold wind hitting my face. Around this time of year, the temperature fluctuations make it easy for my cheeks to turn red, crack, and peel. That is why, whenever I return from exercising, I always make sure to follow a seasonal skin care routine to restore my skin temperature to its normal state.
The key to my skin care routine during the changing seasons is cleansing my face thoroughly and applying chilled aloe vera gel, kept in the refrigerator, in a layer twice as thick as usual. I leave it on like a mask for about 10 minutes to completely cool it down, then lightly rinse it off with lukewarm water. I finish my routine by applying a thick layer of barrier-strengthening cream to create a protective coating. If I don't do this, my makeup just cakes off the next day.
For those who enjoy outdoor activities, cooling down is more important than moisturizing right after being exposed to cold wind!
