미세먼지 이제 더더 심해질텐데 ㅠㅠ 피부 걱정이 태산이에요
As soon as I opened my eyes in the morning, I felt a stuffy nose and stinging eyes. I checked the fine dust app and saw that the reading had exceeded 50, displaying a 'bad' rating. I couldn't open the window, and it was bad enough that I had to wear a mask to go to work. On top of that, there were loud safety alerts this morning. When I washed my face in front of the mirror, my skin looked even drier and duller than yesterday. A thin layer of dead skin cells had subtly risen to my cheeks and forehead, and my nose and jawline felt bumpy, as if my pores were clogged by the fine dust. My entire skin felt dry and sensitive, and I felt suffocated and stifled.
The air felt heavy even on the subway during my commute, making the inside of my mask humid and adding to the discomfort. When I arrived at the office, washed my hands, and touched my face, I could feel a rough, greasy stickiness on the surface. Perhaps because the fine dust had seeped deep into my skin, my blemishes looked more prominent, and my dark circles under my eyes felt darker. When I looked in the bathroom mirror during lunch, I noticed a small new pimple had popped up around my nose. It's usually not like this; it seemed the dust particles had irritated my pores. After returning home from work, I immediately started a double cleansing routine. I washed thoroughly to remove the fine dust with an oil cleanser first and a foam cleanser second, but my skin was irritated and turned slightly red. I wiped it with a soothing pad and applied a generous amount of hydrating toner, hyaluronic acid ampoule, and cica cream. Even so, the moisture didn't penetrate deep into my skin, leaving a heavy, sticky feeling that wouldn't go away. My skin condition for the day was a complete disaster. It feels like my skin barrier has broken down because of the fine dust, so I need to apply sunscreen and mist more often tomorrow. I'll have to hang in there by running the air purifier at full blast and drinking plenty of water. I hope I feel a bit better when I wake up after a good night's sleep.
