I am someone who regretted not wearing sunscreen after developing freckles.

In my 20s, I rarely wore sunscreen because I found it a hassle. My skin was naturally on the lighter side, so I didn't really pay much attention to it...

Once I passed my 30s, melasma started slowly appearing on my cheekbones. I asked a dermatologist, and they said it was due to accumulated UV rays. I seriously almost hit the ground in frustration at that moment.

Now, I make sure to apply sunscreen even on cloudy days or when I stay home. I heard that while melasma doesn't disappear completely, it can prevent it from getting darker. I've also had Pico Toning a few times, and the pigmentation definitely seems to have faded a bit.

You really have to start wearing sunscreen when you're young.
