Now that I am in my 40s, as someone with sensitive skin, my skin becomes dry and rough during the winter.
Lately, I’ve been spending significantly more time looking in the mirror. I used to occasionally hear compliments about my skin, but perhaps the passage of time is inevitable; the dryness and redness I feel after washing my face just won't go away. Especially if I get even a little bit of wind during the change of seasons, my face immediately feels hot and stinging. It makes me upset to think that my condition might just be defined as "sensitive skin." Even when I apply expensive creams that claim to be full of nutrients, they don't absorb as well as they used to and just sit on the surface of my skin, leaving me sighing in front of my vanity. People around me say I need to manage my skin differently now. Are there others out there struggling with this "sensitive skin" concern? I feel like this is a time when I desperately need a comfortable skincare routine that is gentle yet effectively tackles inner dryness. I would like to borrow the wisdom of those who, like me, struggled with sudden changes but managed to overcome them. How do you all lovingly soothe and care for your sensitive skin?
