Hello everyone ㅠㅠ You all work hard on your facial skincare, but how are you taking care of your body skin? Since the weather has gotten drier lately, not just my face, but my entire body is a mess. As soon as I dry myself with a towel after showering, my whole body feels incredibly tight, and white flakes of dead skin are flaking off on my calves and arms, making it look like a snake shedding its skin haha ㅠㅠ There is a lot of information on beauty forums about facial skincare routines for the changing seasons,
It's surprisingly hard to find great tips for body moisturizing, so I'm sending out an SOS on the general discussion board. Aside from applying body lotion during dry seasons, do you all have a specific routine for managing your skin condition during the changing seasons? I used to prefer body lotions with nice scents, but since my skin is so dry, light lotions marketed as perfume substitutes just aren't nearly enough. Applying thick body butter feels sticky and unpleasant when getting dressed, and I tried applying body oil while my skin is still damp because I heard it's good, but it didn't absorb well, resulting in a disaster where I ended up leaving oil footprints on the floor ㅠㅠ. Please, if anyone knows of a body routine for the changing seasons or a favorite body cream combination that absorbs deep into the skin without stickiness to soothe and moisturize my extremely dry skin, please save me ㅠㅠ. I've heard that scrubbing too hard with a shower puff is a surefire way to damage the skin barrier; would it be better to switch my body wash to a mild, pH-balanced one or an oil wash?
